Episode 78: Reflections on 2022 - It’s all Part of the Process!

At first, I didn’t know if I was ready to look back on 2022. This year has felt like a lot of growing pains, a lot of learning, a lot of things that might need more time to settle before reflecting. Which made me realise that now was exactly the time to think about it all!

By shying away from talking about it, I was judging my process, every point that didn’t go exactly as planned, every time I decided to change, everything I learned from trial and error. I was judging the very things that have made me grow into being more me! So I’m crumpling up that judgment and throwing it aside to share 4 lessons I’ve taken from this past year.  Tune in for more chat on how...

  • Things not going exactly how you expect is just a part of becoming who you are.

  • Watching the numbers and algorithms only goes so far (and mostly, causes unnecessary stress!). Follow what you love and what works for you.

  • Speak to your people, they want to hear from you and that’s the first step in how you serve them!

  • Don’t push away your generosity, lead by it.

If you’re looking to go into 2023 with some extra support, I have just a few 1:1 spaces still open! Check out the info here: https://www.raydodd.co.uk/1-1-coaching

QUOTES

“If we get too bogged into judging that journey, judging every single bit, deciding that if things aren't a hundred percent going our way, then they're not going to go our way at all. If we do that, we really lose some of the 7process that is meant for us.”

“Do what you love, do what works for you, forget the numbers.”

“Reminders are not an unkindness. They're a kindness to people. Offers, invitations are a kindness to the people that want what you do. It's giving them another opportunity to consider it, to think about it, to make a decision that feels good to them in that moment.”

“There’s this idea that your energy, your time is what you get paid for. When you're somebody who has less time and less energy, there's work to be done in untangling that and looking at things in a different way. But when you do figure out what it looks for you, the path is going to be easier.  Because you've taken away all of the “you have to do it this way.”
